It's taken me a while to get here because really.... where do you start? How many people really want to read about what I have to say. Well, I'll let you know... it's less about what I say and more about what I do.

My blog is really about my art. Yes I will tell you my background story. About how I became a vegetarian at the age of 10 by slowly cutting meat products out of my diet that seemed gross: had a bone, chewed some fat, something hard, undercooked, smelled strange, etc. I was a picky eater at the age of 10 and for a while after that.

It wasn't until college that I had to learn how to cook for myself.. oh and that's when I discovered the Food Network.. the source of all of my inspiration. I began trying new foods (tofu, faux-meat, eggs) and began experimenting with my cooking. And guess what... I was pretty good at it.

Although I just gave my dietary life story, this isn't solely a food website. I am an artist. I always have been. But once I started liking food better and picked up a knack for cooking I became obsessed with food. Food Network 24/7, Vegetarian Times Magazine, Foodgawker.com, Allrecipes.com. This search for recipes also exposed me to the visual side of food and food photography. I don't know what it is but I'm attracted to the up-close pictures of food. Even in high school I painted a huge canvas with only a BLT sandwich on it (Minus the bacon- of course)

So that is what I have been up to lately, painting food.
